Romy Strayed is reconsidering her decision to move to a million-dollar villa in Amsterdam. Not even a month later, she put the villa back on the market for the same price: 3.2 million euros.

The top model and former Victoria’s Secret member has been thinking about moving to Amsterdam for years. She will miss the “energy and vibrancy of the city” since she moved to the border of Zootermeer and Peynakker three years ago. Earlier this year, the search was finally successful. According to Bekende Buren, she will take over the management of the luxurious two-family house of Hazia Murali. The cottage with a living area of 200 square meters has a total of seven rooms, including five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The 180 square meter backyard has two terraces.

Family

Streid and her family would sometimes stay in a hotel in Amsterdam to get a feel for the capital city. In Zootermeer, she lives with her fiancé Laurens van Leeuwen, son of TV presenter Bert van Leeuwen, and daughters Mint and June in a brand new dream villa with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and its own gym. She wouldn’t have allowed that in Amsterdam. She would also be estranged from her family and friends.

Romy Struggle

“We get asked a lot of questions about whether we are moving to Amsterdam,” Streid writes in English to her millions of Instagram followers. “In the end we decided to stay here. We really liked the house in Amsterdam. It’s our dream home in a perfect location in Amsterdam, but our families live close to our current home. The kids love spending time with their grandparents, cousins and everyone else. Since I’m still traveling a lot, I think it’s best for me to stay.”
