Sausage recipe with onion sauce and mashed potatoes
Finished work and hungry? Then you urgently need something quick, hearty and uncomplicated. Like this sausage with onion sauce and mashed potatoes. The dish combines different textures and flavors and is perfect for a casual evening. On your way home, you buy the necessary ingredients such as sausages (use only your favorite ones), potatoes, onions, melted butter, cream and butter, and now you’re ready to cook.
It’s best to start by making the mashed potatoes, as this takes the longest. Peel the potatoes, cut them into pieces and boil them in a pot of salted water.
Meanwhile, it’s time to prepare the sauce. To do this, peel the onion, cut it in half and slice it into semicircles. Then fry the sausage in a pan with melted butter until golden brown, and then take it out. In the same pan, fry the onions until golden. Add a little mustard and pour in the vegetable broth. Allow the onions to simmer for about five minutes until they are soft. Then pour the cream into the pot and season with the spices.
Put the sausages back in the pot and cook over low heat while you prepare the mashed potatoes. Drain and mashed potato the potatoes with the butter and milk until mashed. Now you can enjoy it. Enjoy your appetite!!!
