Frying scrambled eggs is not really an outstanding culinary art. However, it can be quite challenging – it can be especially difficult to get the perfect consistency of whipped eggs.
How to make the perfect scrambled eggs
βThe ultra-easy method is perfect for removing sticky protein residue from scrambled eggs-glazed eggs. The fried egg is briefly placed in a skillet flipped over and fried on top.
The catch: you can’t always reverse the situation. The egg yolk will become too hard or may leak. If you don’t want your breakfast egg to turn out slippery, use the following method.
Prepare scrambled eggs using the steam method.
- Fry the scrambled eggs in a skillet as usual over medium heat.
- Then pour in some water and cover with a lid.
- The egg white is now cooked by evaporating the water. This makes the scrambled eggs look like they are being served in a five-star restaurant. Because the fried egg doesn’t dry out, the yolk remains liquid.
Frying scrambled eggs: more tricks
To keep a fried egg from becoming slippery, the steaming method is best. But there are a few more things to consider to ensure your scrambled eggs turn out perfect.
- You should use fresh organic eggs. The older the eggs are, the more the yolk will spread into the skillet.
- A cast iron skillet will also work. If it is properly cared for, the fried egg will not stick to it.
- Both flavorless and butter are great as fats for heating. If you use butter, you should not heat the fried egg too much. You should also make sure that it does not turn brown. Alternatively, you can use frying cream, which will make the fried egg especially tender and give it a nice flavor.
- The scrambled eggs should not sizzle, they should be lightly fried. After just a few minutes, the egg whites will have already hardened.
- To improve the flavor, you can season the fried egg with salt, pepper and fresh herbs.
