The New Normal

Like many other small businesses, COVID-19 has had a massive impact on Flamingo Boutique and we are doing all that we can to stay afloat in these challenging times. Since it’s not safe for us to have customers in our store, we’ve had to rethink the way that we do business and figure out how we can keep busy.

In a time that is so different from anything that anyone is used to, we have had to find our new normal. This has mostly consisted of working on the website so that it is as user friendly and stock-filled as possible - we are constantly photographing and uploading new products, so be sure to keep checking back!

We have also been using the time to take inventory of our stock. Anyone that has been in our store knows that we have a lot of stock, so this has been a pretty big job that has taken quite a while. We have also been fulfilling and delivering orders that have come through on our website and we really hope that the deliveries bring a little bit of joy to our customers whether they are birthday gifts or just a pick me up! As many of you may know, we have been doing next day delivery in Ottawa and free contactless pick up from store in efforts to make shopping online as convenient as possible for all of our customers.

We hope that everyone is safe, healthy and making the most of self isolation, by spending time with loved ones, working on a new hobby or binging Tiger King. We also want to express our gratitude to all of the essential workers who are risking their health and keeping things going in these strange times. We hope that it won’t be too long until we can open up again and see all our lovely customers, but until then stay safe, social distance and stay home if you can.
